Job Permit

If you think you would not be able to afford your living expenses or you are in lack of money, so you don’t have to worry for it now. Students from non European countries can work a total of 120 full or 240 half days per year. If you want to work more than this, you just need a permit from the "Agentur für Arbeit" (Federal Employment Agency) and the foreigners' related authority. When you are issued with a work permit, it largely depends on the condition of the local job market. You are less likely to get a work permit for more than 120 days in cities because of your student visa restrictions but you can easily afford all your expense on a part time job even if you are good at managing things.

There is no time limitation for working as an assistant and the per day payments may vary company to company. No time limits apply for this reference job. However, you will still need to inform the foreigners' related authority about the nature of your work. Plus international students can not start their own business in Germany because of their visa nature, so you have to work under some company. If you are not sure about what kind of job you have been offered, please consult our experts in JSTWA, hopefully you will get a clearer idea.
